TRUCKMOUNT SUMMER MAINTENANCE TIPS

Summer is here, and the time is right for the recommended oil. It is always a good idea to use the oil and filters recommended by the manufacturer of your equipment/engine. It is even more critical in the summer heat. Why? In air-cooled engines, oil not only lubricates all of the moving parts in your engine, but it also cools the engine. So the wrong viscosity, type oil or a filter that restricts oil flow can damage your engine.

The engineers who designed your equipment have taken the time to spec the right oil. I, for one, don’t have the time or the money to do all the necessary research and testing to try and come up with an oil that might work better or cost a few cents less. And I sure don’t want to risk my engine if I’m wrong!

We use only the original equipment manufacturer’s recommended oil, or brand oil and filters in our shop.
