Temperature Relief Valve 145 Degrees 3/8" MPT A small ball of wax melts, releasing a spring-loaded pin, and allowing water to bypass through the end. When the water cools, the wax re-hardens and pushes the spring-loaded pin back into the seat, stopping water flow.
